Grant Ellis, Chairman
Grant is a chartered insurance broker and has spent most of his working life in the insurance and financial services sectors. An insurance broker since 1976, and an FPC qualified, though no longer practicing IFA. He is a non-executive director of the Ellis Bates group of companies, as well as a founder of Broker Network he is also a regular commentator on the insurance industry.
Nick Houghton, Managing Director, Network Division
Nick joined the Network Division in November 2008 from Towergate Professional Risks where he was Managing Director (May 2006 – October 2008) and was named one of Towergate’s MD’s of the year in 2007. Prior to that Nick was Regional Sales Director for Towergate’s North Retail Division and had spent 6 years in sales for Alexander Forbes and Marsh. Nick successfully completed an executive diploma in management studies in 2008 in which he was voted student of the year.
Richard Shannon, Finance Director, Network Division
Richard is a chartered accountant, having qualified with Ernst & Young in 1990. Before joining Broker Network, Richard was the Regional Finance Director for the Northern Region of the Towergate Partnership Limited for three years. Richard has enjoyed a number of senior finance roles for O2 and Unigate PLC as well as being the Customer Service Director for a fixed/mobile telecommunications provider, Convergent Telecom Limited. Richard also holds a PGC in Education.
